The Doula: Marie Hurtis
My Philosophy: I am passionate about helping girls and women through labor and postpartum doula care. I genuinely believe that if girls and women are given resources, support, and options, they can have a positive birth and postpartum period regardless of past experiences or current outside challenges. These positive birth and postpartum experiences will lead them to build more resilience and obtain success in other areas of their lives.
My Education and Professional Background: I have my postpartum training through CAPPA and my birth doula training through DONA. I have a bachelors degree in social work and sociology. I have experience in in-home caregiving, social work, and childcare.
About Me: I enjoy reading, writing, helping others, and spending time with my husband. I am an INFP on the Myers-Briggs typology.
Current Availability:
Postpartum Doula Care: Tuesday & Thursday evenings, Saturday & Sunday mornings, afternoons, and evenings.
Birth Doula Care: I have viability for a woman with a due date between June 24th & June 30th
